Ratings are provided for hunting and fishing activities as follows:
A good population of the species exists. This area is a good place to go for the specified activity.
The species is present, but the population varies. Opportunity for the activity is limited or not predictable.
A population of the species is present, but very limited. This area is not recommended for the specified activity.
Designated Trails: A 'designated trail' is defined as a trail which is clearly signed and regularly maintained, with the trail route shown on an area map or brochure available at the trailhead. 'Clearly signed' refers to one (or more) trailhead signs indicating the type(s) of use allowed on the trail, and reassurance signs as needed along the trail route to periodically mark the designated portion.
