Kick back and enjoy the day with the family under the shade of the pines surrounding the pond at Twin Pines Conservation Education Center. No fishing license is needed at this “catch and release” event. Food and drinks will be served. Reservations are recommended.

This program is for all ages, so get out of the house and come and enjoy the fun. For further information call 573-325-1381.

Learn embroidery techniques while also exploring Missouri’s "Things with Wings" by stitching quilt blocks based on that theme.

This class is a 12 month program that will meet once a month all year long. You will learn simple, but beautiful embroidery techniques as we explore some of the most stunning and unique Winged Things found in the beautiful landscapes of Missouri.

By signing up, you are committing to attend all twelve of the monthly sessions so that you will be able to complete all 15 blocks for an entire quilt.

Fly-tying is a great way to customize a fishing lure to a specific type of fish or a particular stretch of stream. It’s also way to get an added sense of accomplishment knowing that you caught a fish with a lure you made. MDC Conservation Educator, Sam Stewart, will provide tips on materials used as well as techniques, and will also discuss how flies are effective lures for a variety of sportfish species.
